Ok, well, CFHP is tied with Music Has the Right to Children. That album is unreal.
BOC purists are unreal
Oscar See Through Red Eye is probably one of my all time favourite BOC songs.
CFHP is seriously underrated. well said.

i'm POSITIVE Boards of Canada have always incorporated 'real' instruments on their past albums at various times. especially if you ever managed to download a live set. Aquarius is just a little too funky to be a synth. just that when they got to the most recent disc they didn't bother hiding it as much.

You Could Feel the Sky is the track that does it for me every time.

I'm also sure that they used real instruments before, because I swear I heard a guitar on XYZ (a rarer song), and even before MHTRTC they've used guitars. I think people expect BOC to be the same their entire career. They have to eventually change at one point, and I must admit, it was a good and welcome change. Dayvan Cowboy is a BOC favourite, guitars or no guitars.

also, I have to say, You Could Feel The Sky and pretty much all of Geogaddi is pretty awesome. My favourites are Dawn Chorus and Diving Station.
