A lot of people doing porn just really wanted to do it. Many of the big names in the industry could easily be doing something else. Lexington Steele was a stockbroker and Nina Hartley is a registered nurse.

Well this thread has turned into a bit of a joke BUT...

I don't think the music industry is as much about "screwing people over" as made out in the opening post. It all comes down to whether or not the signees are still worth anything to the company. If they are, they're not going to be "screwed over". So it's down to the artists being anything worth promoting.

well i was talking about when u first sign on....the contracts they make u sign are designed to try and suck as much out of you as they can

you do get to read contracts before you sign them, and have them inspected by a lawyer.

I don't think music should be seen as an industry. It should be seen as an art that is outside the realm of commercialism.
