I'm going to skip you're post if its obvious you didn't look at the list before nominating. Alot of the albums nominated are already on there and its a pain to go through a 20 album list and only have 2 not already on.

MB's Top 100 Albums of the 75-79 - Rate Your Music

All you do is look at that hit ctrl + F and type in the album name on both pages, if its not there then nominate it. If it is, well there you go.

Alright, I went through it. The only one from my list already there was A Certain Ratio, Graveyard & Ballroom. So anyway, here's the updated nominations:

Neuschwanstein - Battlement
Blackfoot - Strikes
Jethro Tull - Stormwatch
Heldon - Stand By
Giorgio Moroder E=mc²
Old and New Dreams - Old and New Dreams (2)
Mike Oldfield - Platinum
Sun Ra - Disco 3000
Van Halen - Van Halen II
James White and the Blacks - Off White
Patti Smith - Wave
Johnny Osbourne - Truths and Rights
Dire Straits - Communiqué
The Skids - Scared to Dance
Mikey Dread - African Anthem
Peter Hammill - pH7
Haizea - Hontz Gaua
Nurse With Wound - Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella

Mr Nic 03-10-2008 12:41 PM

There's some bloody good stuff that's been listed already. The only exceptions I would add are:

The Knack - Get The Knack (1979)
The Ruts - The Crack (1979)
Madness - One Step Beyond (1979)

I'm also a bit shocked that The B-52's and The Jam - Setting Sons don't make it into the 184 albums listed...

All Mod Cons was miles better.

Mr Nic 03-10-2008 02:53 PM

Aye - you're probably right. For me it's probably more to do with the fact it's the one Jam album I owned and grew up listening to... !

jackhammer 03-10-2008 03:08 PM

Can you add:

Tangerine Dream-Force Majeure.
Punishment Of Luxury-Laughing Academy.

sleepy jack 03-20-2008 01:22 AM

Let's start discussing removals, by discussing I mean suggest them and I'll remove them unless I disagree than I'll call you on it.
