Not a Nugent fan. Though some of his songs are so shamelessly crude and stupid that they are somewhat of a guilty pleasure.

Your statement is purely subjective and irrelevant, especially since I never claimed that "popular" is always right anyway.

Not to mention that it does nothing to disprove my statement that Nugent produced some of the best hard rock of the classic rock era.

And I certainly wouldn't classify his music as "popular" in the same sense as the music of Britney Spears.

Your above statements comprise a simplistic and gross generalization of Nugent and his music, based on your own deep personal bias.

The hard fact is, in the overwhelming majority of his concerts he never wore a loin cloth, and the great majority of his songs are NOT about his penis.

And at least he played REAL rock music, unlike so many of the s--- bands of today who take the GRAND PRIZE in the "embarrassment stakes".

I grew up on 80's metal and I still like a lot of tracks by bands like: WARLOCK / SAXON / WHITESNAKE etc

I know, I know.
I probably wouldn't say it was a "guilty pleasure".
It's kind of like a photo, it reminds me of when I was 10 or 11. That's what I like most about it.
