Default Glastonbury 2008 - Jay-Z??!

I never go to those sorts of festivals but I just read an article and supposedly, JAY-Z is headlining this year. The HELL? Jay-Z? He's not even hugely popular in the UK. It's the states where he's the big cheese. In Britain he's about a middle of the range act. Surely they coulda organized something better than that. It's so laughable it almost sounds like a deliberate attempt (although it isn't) to keep the numbers down. Oh well, what do others think about this? Do any people go regularly to fests like Glas?

Glastonbury always throw in a WTF moment with their bills.

Kylie Minogue was due to headline a few years ago & was replaced by Basement Jaxx.

Primal Scream played 2nd to Basement Jazz , I have the tape and it's great Primal Scream got dragged offstage for over-running their slot and the crowd started booing when they said they had to go because Basement Jaxx were coming on

Jay-z is also going to headline the Hove festival in Norway, he must have a great manager.

Girls Aloud are doing the V festival this year. Good luck skanky whores! My company is hopefully going to be trading at this festival so I can see some stuff for free! It is being held less than half a mile from our main unit.

If I go to glasto I keep in the healing feilds and the open mic tent.
the V fest is just a concert not a festival.
There is no spirit to it just adverts.
Glasto always has the best stuff going on unannounced and you have to keep your ear to the ground.
They get these acts to swell the crowds and get the squares in as they want mass appeal no matter what they say.
I might see some of you there!!!!
