Favorite would be In Rainbows

OK Computer & Kid A are tied for second

I'm surprised more people haven't chosen In Rainbows, I suppose its fashionable to say OK Computer is their best, and it may be. Pablo Honey was awful and The Bends was nothing special. How can anyone like Creep or use to defend Pablo Honey?

My favorite is Amnesiac with OK Computer right behind it.

They don't have to use Creep; at least a third of the album is as good as it (a great song, btw <_<).

Creep is actually a better song than most give it credit for... it's good some good soft / loud dynamics and Yorke's vocals sound great on it, it has a way of soaring pretty high in my opinion. Maybe it's attachment to the early nineties which brought with it alot of angst ridden rock gets to people... people tend to reject the previous decade alot... I remember how not cool the eighties were in the early nineties... and now the nineties are considered bad by alot of people who have no idea what great music is...hehehehehehe

Creep is good just not exactly up to par with the rest of Radiohead's work.

And who DARES to say The Bends is nothing special? It's my favorite album by them, although I'll admit I haven't listened to Amnesiac or In Rainbows

I think some people may feel that The Bends isn't so special anymore because it has been so often aped by bands since its release... there are so many bands now doing that soul searching, semi accoustic chiming sound they did so well and actually MADE special...

But in and of itself, The Bends is a darn fine and indeed, very significant and special album.

I would think the fact that other bands have copied the style would just make it better

Not when its boring bands like Athlete and Travis who took the same sound and numbed it down to wallpaper levels...

Simply based on the tunes themselves, I must say that The Bends is my favourite Radiohead album. But, I think OK Computer has better lyrics and I think Kid A has a better overall feel. Those 3 are my favourite though.

Anyone a fan/subscriber of fooberdoobs? He did a pretty solid cover of "Black Star" and I thought "Hey, this would be relevant in the radiohead thread".
