you know, one of my best friends is a huge radiohead fan and she tried to play some of there stuff to see if I liked any of it. the only songs I liked were from Pablo Honey and a couple from The Bends. She sat there getting frustrated that I didn't like it. I don't think they are the worst band, but whatever they are trying to do just doesn't do it for me.

as for Coldplay stealing their sound, I almost sharted when I read that because of laughing so hard. Not only do I find it funny that an indie forum has a Coldplay thread, but the closest band to compare Coldplay to would be Bread (which for those who don't know good music, is an amazing soft pop rock outfit from the 70's) and after that, U2. They have a far more traditional and pop oriented sound than Radiohead does (and further more, why is Radiohead mentioned on an Indie forum?) and i actually like Coldplay, which is rare, because I tend to detest most mainstream rock.

Might have something to do with them being on an indie label. Just a shot in the dark, there.

but they have also been on commercial labels. convenient memory loss for the sake of a lame attempt at being witty? four years of producing your own records after over 14 on commercial labels doesn't make you indie. It make you Prince. So I guess we can start calling Prince indie also, right?

Radiohead is hardly indie.

Yes they are. They maintained complete creative control while on a major label and they are currently Indie. Not to mention this is an alternative forum too.

I'm not...When I think of Indie, major label is FAR from what comes to mind.

Yeh, but if you read my post you'd see that's not what I said.
