I haven't heard much "new" music, but I'm really into Interpol's "The New."

There's the White Stripes even though they came out in the late 90's (I think), Arctic Monkey aint bad (I would say the Brits have the best rock bands atm while the US is more into hip hop, rap, if I base on what I see people listening in my area), the Hives (even though they came up in the late 90's), Foo Fighters (even though they were formed in mid 90's), Time Again (even though they sound alot like Rancid), The Killers....I mean I like all those bands but I dont insane over them as I did with Nirvana or Oasis back when I was a kid in the 90's.
Doesn't sound like you've heard much. Check out Spoon.

Other than that, I cant recall a band that made an impact in this decade like Nirvana did for the 90's, Punk rock and hair metal in the 80's, Led Zeppellin, Black Sabbath in the 70's or even the Beatles and the Birtish invasion in the 60's. I mean alot of bands that I like that were formed after the year 2000 are usually bands from independant labels.

radiohead has been making said impact for the past 15 or so years...

1. Britney Spears: Stronger
Just like her last year's "Crazy", this song has a pounding rock beat and a suitably big chorus. The video reminds me of Lita Ford's "Kiss Me Deadly".

2. Place-2-Go: Higher And Higher
Former hard rocker Patrik Linman aims for the hearts of the Savage Garden/BSB/etc fans. With this very catchy track he might actually make it.

3. Backstreet Boys: Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely
This one is a moody, dark ballad with excellent vocal arrangements.

4. Leann Rimes: Can't Fight The Moonlight
Song featured in the movie "Coyote Ugly".
