I just think music means more than this.

This is music and not some race debate;) I'm English and proud of it, but I voted the USA as more of my favourite bands are from there, so that kind of defeats your hypothesis!

This is what I say all the time on music forums. Obviously this poll doesn't have to looked at that way but some will. It's the same with other artforms, some people in some places look at it as patriotic to highly rate art from where they are from. For example quite a few Eastern European films are probably highly overrated on imdb because of this.

I'm English but not that proud of it in some ways (awful politics, awful tabloids), but proud in some I suppose.

well, I'm Malaysian and i have to say the Malaysian music scene sucks

too many Pearl Jam and Green Day ripoffs and too much copycatting J or K Pop

as for the country itself - could be better/could be worse

Canadian music scene is allright I guess (I'm Canadian), but America gets my vote

Why India is not listed??

I'm stuck between the US and Europe as a whole. Hundreds of years of music really can't be disregarded lightly!

Europe is not exactly Anglosphere, only two countries are (UK and Ireland)

I was under the impression most Indian music isn't in English. Most that I've heard certainly isn't.

Europe as a whole isn't part of the Anglosphere, especially if you're talking about music from hundreds of years ago.

Oh yeah, good point... I'm still stuck though, UK and Ireland have had a lot of really great musicians!
