Spotify and Lastfm are good for finding recs close to similar artists. You could try going through the history of different genres. Check out the education of threads that we have around.

I guess I wasn't clear: I'm a music nerd. My background is in classic rock, psychedelic soul, and hip-hop. I've been listening to more alternative rock lately specifically because it was "alien" to me. Well, maybe not alien, but less familiar anyway. I'm looking for artist recommendations, preferably not country, metal, or progressive.
What I like about Pandora vs. those other radio apps is the ability to add multiple artists to your station, rather than creating a station based on a single artist or your iTunes library. With Spotify, etc., unless I've missed something, you have to pay to do that. |

Those were released just a few months ago, but if you want to go back to last year there's the immensely popular "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, and "Get Lucky" by DP. |

Hello,
some time ago I found this incredible band called Black Rebell Motorcycle Club and have since loved their music. But after listening to their songs, there have always been two songs that struck me in a different.. Interesting way: (I'd love to post links but apparently I can't since I'm a new user so sorry guys) Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Ain't no easy way Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Shuffle your feet I really hope you guys can help me find some similar songs or actually even better, similar artists which play that kind of music. Personally.. I would describe those songs as a mix of rock and.. Country but then again.. What the hell do I know ![]() Well, it's fairly late here in Germany an I still want to catch so sleep.. But thanks a lot in ahead! |
