I have a request, i'm looking for good artists who use acoustic guitars or pretty much any artist as long as it's just them and their instrument (doesn't have to be a guitar) and they don't even have to sing. Something similar to people like Colin Hay, Bob Dylan, John Mayer, Newton Faulkner, Jason Mraz ect ect just give me anything your aware of and think is good lol. Just the person and their instrument.

hopefully you get the idea.

Get Either/Or by Elliott Smith, or his self-titled.

Thanks, i appreciate the awesome quick responses. I'm an eric clapton fan but i've never heard his unplugged album so i'll check that out. Never heard of Elliot Smith but i'm doing to do a quick search for him now.

Keep the recommendations coming :p
Also looking for artists who just play their guitar(or any instrument) and don't involve singing at all.

Oh man, with the list you posted, I'm sure you'll dig him.

I second Rodrigo y Gabriella. Fantastic duo right there

And you'll definitely love the Clapton album if you like him, and are looking for some acoustic stuff.

Also, Nick Drake- Pink Moon

Alright, here's the situation. I'm working on a new novel, post-apocalyptic setting, and need some music to listen to while writing.

I'm looking for something arid and post-apocalyptic. Moody wasteland music basically, just something to put on in the background and get me in the mood.

Instrumentals only please, I can't focus with lyrics.

PS - I'm currently listening to select songs by Bear McCreary off of the Battlestar soundtrack and it fits pretty well, so if you happen to know anything else in that vein that would be great.

I'm not sure about albums, but you could try the song "Heroes Die" by HORSE the band, though that may be a little too heavy for what you want.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor is what you need.

Lift Your Skinny Fists is their best album, but F#A#Infinity's The Dead Flag Blues is basically about a post-apocalyptic world, so you may want to start there.
