Definitely get"You're Living All Over Me"

When I started I got Bug first, then You're Living All Over Me, then Farm, and Beyond.
I stayed away from Where You Been because that was when the band wasn't really together, it was just the lead guitarist/vocalist J Mascis playing all the instruments.

TO sum things up for you
When the band was together (J Mascis, Lou Barlow, Murph they released these albums:

Dinosaur (1985)
You're Living All Over Me (1987)
Bug (1988) (when the band was starting to fall apart
Beyond (2007 when they got back together)
Farm (2009)

Albums with just J mascis:
Green Mind (1991)
Where You Been (1993)
Without A Sound (1994)
Hand It Over (1997)

Thanks for all the info. Like I said I have no idea about them, but this has helped out heaps. Buying Living All Over Me and Bug soon. I'll let you know how it goes. Is there anything else I should know about them?

Space-Like Music

Hey I was listening to the Space Olympics song by The Lonely Island and I really liked the background music.

(Space Olympics - The Lonely Island): watch?v=jp77WTBLYCA

Does anyone know of any music that is similar to this?

I didn't know what genre of music to put it in, but Electronica seemed like it fit the best.

Any ideas?

Thanks and MERRY CHIRSTMAS!

No problem.

Only other thing I could think of telling you is that the bassist Lou Barlow has his own bad called Sebadoh, here's one of my favorites from them;

If you're interested in them I'd get the album Bakesale.

Hi, maybe someone can help me.
I saw a video clip on tv. Very beautiful, computer graphics. There were penguins, it was night, some of them were gazing at the stars and the moon, the others in the iglu of kind, very romantic, the whole video was with those penguins.
The lyrics sounded like paaaa paaaa, maybe there were some other words, but mostly a womens voice repeated paaaa paaaa.
Music, video and voice just awesome.
The problem is, I don't know the name of the artist, or the song, and it would be really great if someone could shed some light on this beautiful song.

Somewhere to Start?

Hey, so I'm new, obviously. And I've been listening to alternative/indie for awhile, but now that I've found this site I've realized how little I really do know. And it's kind of overwhelming, sorting through all this music. So I was wondering if I could have a few artists/albums/songs to start with. Like specific stuff. My current tastes include Arctic Monkeys, the Shins, Radiohead, stuff like that (popular, I guess you would say), but I want to branch out, so anything in this genre is welcome. And then I will listen to your suggestions on grooveshark :). Thanks!

Also, has anyone been to muzicforums.com? Everyone there has downs and absolutely no taste in good music, or any intelligence for that matter. This forum is better^infinity.
