I heard of a duo last night, named Rodrigo y Gabriela. They do some pretty awesome acoustic work.

YouTube - Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Atman (feat. Alex Skolnick) - 11:11
YouTube - Rodrigo y Gabriela - Buster Voodoo (Live On Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson - 10/28/09)

The above links are from their latest album, 11:11. Is there anything similar out there? There can be other instruments too. I'm mostly looking for the upbeat instrmental.

with marty rod, check out "Build It Up" from his Myspace page - it's killer catchy.

the Ten Feet Deep link is a cover of them performing "Thriller" as an MJ tribute - their original music is also solid give em a listen. great beatles-inspired chords and singer has a sick voice.

also, Drew Bordeaux's youtube link is a performance of his song "Lost" - brilliant song.
