Don't know if this is what you're looking for, but:

I did consider Damien Rice too actually, for the harmonies with Lisa Hannigan. I just wasn't sure which track to put up, so i didn't bother.

Some of my favorites include the duets that Nick Cave has done with Kylie and PJ. I also love the duets that Mike Patton has done in his Lovage project with Jennifer as well. A few other songs that have the vibe that I like is ‘Blood’ by The Band of Skulls, the delicate vocals of the song ‘Little by Little’ by Blue Foundation as well as 'A life All Mine' by The Gathering and ‘Come on over (turn me on)’ by Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan (I love the albums that they did together). I prefer both the male and female vocals to be clear so I am not so keen on the death growls from men like you hear in some of the harder edged bands that have the male/female vocals. Now for male/male two songs come to mind: one is ‘Without you I’m nothing’ by Placebo with Bowie and the other is ‘Passenger’ by Deftones with MJK. I’m looking in particular for something dark and dreamy and/or a perhaps a bit of rock with a seductive/dark edge. So, any recommendations?
Ah yes, I definitely think I can help you out here.

Lovely depressing male/female vocals.

One of my favourite bands.

Something a little less depressing.

Definitely worth checking out

Dreamy male vocals

Dark male vocals.

And I think that's enough. Hope this helps.

Personally, I would take a good dollop of Dizzy Gillespie, add 27ml of Jimi Hendrix (no more or the whole thing will explode),

a slurp of Tchaikovsky, and a potent dose of Pink Floyd with a dash of Simon and Garfunkel.

Carefully heat over a flame and observe …we are the band Social Science and are 14 posts away from a link *tear*
Good bye!

What? No. I was just saying good bye to Social Science, who's more than likely for ban.

I am looking for some cool new Roots Rock type stuff, here a couple I know of:

John Butler
Ryan Bingham

They're styles are a little different but I really like they laid back rootsy feel they both have.

Thanks!
