It's a blues/lounge/Lynchian/trip hop hybrid but if you like any of the bands you listed, I would check out Blonds - The Bad Ones. It's pretty effing awesome...one of the best of this year for sure.

SubTrees is a Norwegian electrock band who's releasing a new album in about three weeks! They're going to post the first song from their album on the 5th of November, meaning Monday next week! The song is called "End My Time", I can't wait! :tramp:

If you want to check them out, their facebook page is:

Sounds like....

I'm in need of a song that builds from a low to a high and fits into this "happy" genre just like "Run Run" by The Rival. I'm open to anything - thanks.

The Raveonettes are a good band. I am normally a hip hop guy but I heard them on CSI NY and they are a sick band. I would post a link but I cant yet

How about alt-J? It's a relatively new alternative rock band from England, however much of their stuff is on the psychedelic side, it flows really well and is quite ambient.

Also, they use some electronic effects to accompany the full band, which gives a great spectrum of different sounds. The voice of the lead vocalist is very distinctive.

Check them out, they're brilliant.

I saw alt-J in Tulsa, OK last month! So, so brilliant. I second this.

I'm looking to get into IDM. Any suggestions welcome, with the exception of anything that sounds like house. I freaking hate house.
