I plan on switching from Vuze to Rapidshare because Vuze takes far too long but as soon as the 7 albums I have on Vuze finish, you're on.
But really, you hate anything from that scene and I bet you can count the albums you like from the past 10 years on one hand you oldfag. :P |
I'm looking for a good album of traditional Chinese folk music, preferably just instrumental. The music can date as far back as the Han Dynasty, just want something well done and traditional.
Thanks if anyone recommends anything. |
Hey all!
Okay, suppose you wanted to make a mix tape for a road trip down the California Coast. Consider the following song as your model: Yo La Tengo - Today is the Day. Acoustic, slow, downbeat, very very very calm. As calm as possible. Sentimental. Lyrics-oriented. Guitars. Quiet. Indie is good. Can you recommend a few songs like this? I need to make a 12-15 song mix CD. I want her to love it. Other songs to give you direction: The XX - VCR. Damien Rice - Volcano. People she generally likes (but ideally few or very obscure songs from these people): Bonnie Prince Billy, Yo La Tengo, Sufjan Stevens, The XX, Damien Rice, Jose Gonzalez, Neutral Milk Hotel, Wilco, Sun Kill Moon, Bright Eyes, etc. |
Who here can recommend me something that sounds Pink Floyd-ish. You know, pretty mellow slow soothing songs, preferably calm soft vocals or no vocals at all. Something that would calm me down and just relax to. Anything is welcome, I will give all recommendations a listen.

Road Trippin' The Zephyr Song Hard to Concentrate All by Red Hot Chili Peppers, but the funkyness keep my calm as well as energetic. |
I don't think Post Rock is boring at all.... I find it quite invigorating, and it allows my head to go into all the imaginative places i want it to, often (depending on the band) without lyrics to guide it there...
