For Arcade Fore probably Funeral or Neon Bible as those are there most over the top big symphonic pop records. The Flaming Lips for what your looking for I'd check our The Soft Bulletin for sure, if you don't mind a singer who isn't by any means the best, but totally fits the bands. Also Yoshimi would probably work for you too, it's a bit cleaner sounding, and it has more electronics rather than the symphonics of The Soft Bulletin

A charismatic and emotional vocalist but not something too sappy, depressive or aggressive. A band that has a vision, something larger-than-life or flamboyant. They don't have to be original but I prefer a band that has their own identity; not something that is too derivative of a particular genre. Being that I'm into listening to full albums, I would prefer at least one strong album by the band.

The best examples I can think of include:
Marilyn Manson - Mechanical Animals
Roxy Music - Country Life
Christian Death - Catastrophe Ballet
AFI - Decemberunderground
The Smashing Pumpkins - Adore
London After Midnight - Psycho Magnet
Placebo - Black Market Music

if you hadn't of said aggressive, I'd suggest The Mars Volta's first record, and even their second. Or maybe At The Drive-In's last record.

Are you into Hip-Hop?
I suggest :
Logic - Under Pressure
Isaiah Rashad - Cilvia Demo

Also i suggest St. Vincent - i love her 2014 album - self titled : St. Vincent
Very experimental!

Hey guys. I've always had trouble narrowing down my favorite genre, as I don't know what it'd be considered. I found an artist today that describes it perfectly, but it's listed as no specific genre. If I had to describe it, it'd be *slight* electronic hip hop. Breakbeat, Turntablism, etc.. Definitely groovy!

The artist is "20syl". (I'm American although, and related artists to him are French, which I cannot understand).

Can anyone recommend any other types of music, or specific artists/songs to listen to? Ty very much!

Hi! I'm new here (I think. Either that or I don't remember posting here) and I'm looking for band recommendations similar to the band Taken and This Day Forward. I listen to hardcore, metal (thrash, sludge, post. No death), punk, and traditional emo

It's got to have fairly long stretches with no words (just music or beat or something) so we can use it under dialogue. It's gotta be serious, and it's gotta be gritty. I'm thinking something actually about prison or getting busted or something. Something about how much it sucks to be prison. Not "boo yah, bein' a gangsta rules", but more "damn, i miss my kids and my girl" sorta stuff. Gettin' it?

Bluesy, soulful is good. Cheery bad.

Thanks much.

Hows about this? Bits you could use on a loop?

Posting requests all in one thread is a worthless idea. No way Im leafing thru 350 pages of previous requests to see if I can add something to what they want. I would help alot more if each request had its own thread. Then if OP still needed help, he could bump his request back up to the top till he found what he was looking for. May as well flush the older 340 pages into the trash. They will never be seen again, even by the OP.

Can anyone recommend me a great blues guitar player like BB King. I'm new in blues so I don't know much about it.
