I already liked Fiona Apple (she had a lot of buzz around here when I was a newer member) and MIA, will check out the others momentarily.

EDIT: The Emylou Harris song was more interesting than I expected but overall I was pretty indifferent to that.

The Loretta Lynn song was rad, even the non-psych rock part.

There's hope for you yet. Then throw on some Tori Amos. If you haven't already heard it I think Boys for Pele might be right up your alley.

IMO of course. If you can't do it, don't simply dismiss it as an excuse.
It can be good too

So does Arto Lindsay have anything outside of DNA that's worth listening to?

Forgot about that. But is there anything else? I've been so disappointed every time I checked his solo stuff out.

His solo stuff is pretty cool, don't let he poppiness scare you away.
If you want more abrasive music, check out Arto Lindsay Trio - Aggregates 1-26.
And of course there's Arto Lindsay & Paal Nilssen-Love - Scarcity.

Thankie. Which solo album in particular? I really don't like his singing on his solo music so far.

Too tepid for me.

EDIT: I was going to post a cool Arto Lindsay song I'm listening to but I forgot that I turned it off and put it on something else.
