See? Look. It's never the Radiohead fans that start it.

I'm really into bands like Tool, Porcupine Tree, The Mars Volta...
anyone have any recommendations of bands/ artists I might like? Can be very well-known bands or obscure as you wish. I want to widen my musical breadth

Fans or haters, it's always the ****heads that start it. Look at the guy's post he just said "Radiohed is terrible" which is completley random, Radiohead weren't even being dscussed.

You might like Portugal. The Man. If you can hack heavier stuff (with death growls) maybe go for Opeth.

Thanks I'll check them out! I've got a fair bit of Opeth stuff but not so much into heavier stuff - but still like it.

I think you would love Riverside, an excellent melodic Prog Rock band. Also Pure Reason Revolution are great too. Dark Suns, Sieges Even and the last few Fates Warning releases will be spot on.

I could use some post-rock reccomendations. Right now I'm only into the mainstream stuff(EitS, the Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen etc.). What's Good place to start?

There's a vast difference between post-punk and post-rock.
