Yeah you are right... thoes sites are worthless without new recommendation. Ive gone through the list you have posted and in it theres one guy that flows the same. Hes mainly focused on instrumental music.

Dont know if you are into this but you could check him out:

Default Hello Everyone

I've been putting together a playlist of my favorite music. I was wondering if this community (which is totally new to me), knows of some secret musical treasures. Those things which are hard to find, but end up being worth the time and effort.

Alternately, some really popular stuff that I had no idea about, because I was living under a rock, will do just fine as well. So, I'll link the playlist from my YouTube Channel, and eagerly await any suggestions.

Woops, apparently I have to make 15 posts before I can link anything... Just take out the A's, and delete the spaces. (I hope that's not bending the rules too much.)

htt A ps: A //w A w A w.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLO0E2Y9cagJs_04RJVGB1xhIhCmoaBVV0

Thanks

For my upcoming nerdy internet radio show, I am doing a show featuring Jonathan Coulton.

Looking for suggestions of people who are similar to JoCo. My first thought is Flight of the Conchords.

Thanks.

Toru Okada would probably fit this. They're closer to screamo than anything but they have calmer songs and some that build up from calm to bat****. Really recommend. I'd send you a link but I'm too new to do that. If you just look up "toru okada band" on google or youtube you'll find their music. They even have a bandcamp page. Although it only has one thing, a collection of old demos that you could download for free.
