There are some Peel Sessions tracks that appear on this years best of and a standalone release and a couple of early E.PS but yeah, they are the only two full releases.

Eh? I heard those are like the only 2 real albums because Curtis hung himself...so?
I’d go with Closer, since there is an abundance of stronger tracks, but you cant go wrong either way.

*EDIT
Actually you'd better go with Unknown Pleasures

hey guys,
i'm looking for some hybrid music.
what i mean is... say rap/punk, ska/surf.
mostly rap based, but i find this kinda music really fun.
if anyone's interested,
The Villebillies are a really fun country-rap band.
thanks!

Personally I like Unknown Pleasures a lot more and would definitely recommend getting that before you get Closer. Also worth getting out is an album called Substance. It's a compilation of singles, alternate takes and early, punkier tracks from back when they were still called Warsaw. Some of their bigger songs like "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and "Dead Souls" are not on either of their proper studio albums but are on Substance. It actually works really well as an album in it's own right, IMHO, even though it's only a comp. To tell the truth, I might even suggest getting it before you get anything else by them.

I bought the single songs of Joy Division from 'The Best Of Joy Division' that were not on the 2 cd's of them I have. So I got 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', 'Transmissions', 'Dead Souls', etc. All really good. Thanks for the heads up.
