I seem to have a huge lack of female artists in my music library. I'm primarily looking for some indie and maybe some folk artists at the time. And maybe some female-fronted metal as well.

Anything Kim Deal is a must when it comes to indie dude. The Breeders or The Amps. Get Last Splash by The Breeders.

It's kind of a stretch but you could try Laura Stevenson & the cans for folk stuff.

Just thought I'd say that any fans of that celtic-punk/Poguesy sound of Flogging Molly should have a look into the Tossers if they haven't already. Very good, pretty underrated band.

Dunno what you've found of all this, but I've got a few recs for ya. These might not be what you're looking for down to the very letter, as it's been a while since I last listened to Moon Safari, but give some of these videos a try.

Dirty Elegance;

Opgave;

Saltillo;

And their affiliates Sunday Munich throw a bit more shoegaze/dreampop into things, and as such are a wee bit more vocal-heavy, but you might like them all the same;

If you need links, you're welcome to ask me about them.

Anyone know of any heavy hardcore bands with good riffs, and at least decent production value? Think something like Converge or Comeback Kid.

If you haven't already, This Is Hell, Cancer Bats, Letlive (more post-hardcore and lots of high-pitched singing though), Defeater, The Ghost Of A Thousand, Trap Them.

Every Time I Die spring to mind too but you've probably already heard them and made up your mind.

Ah thanks dude! I've actually never listened to any of those.

Also ETID are one of my favorites, I would have put them on my initial 'list' but I've got plenty of southerncore.

Okay, awesome. Glad I could help.

What did you think of Comeback Kid's latest?
