Yeah, I hate when people hate on people whose favirote album is "Dark Side"

Wait, or maybe that album was pretty good until I had to hear it 24/7 between classic rock radio and stoner college kids who are completely okay with listening to the same 15 bands and 30 albums the rest of their life. Maybe, just maybe, because of that I have no reason to listen to it anymore and have found better records, the majority of which are created independently as the state of mainstream music has been criminally sad since the Beatles broke up. And maybe I really dont care how many 'copies' were sold since I still enjoy albums the Beatles, Beach Boys, and other bands who have sold 'alot of copies' yet aren't shoved in my face (personally dark side has been pushed around me FAR more than any beatles album) constantly, and even if they were, most of those albums would take much longer to sound stale to me due to the higher quality of the music.

Maybe...

That is one good song that's post-MCIS.

Then again, everything else is absolutely terrible.

That's what made you lose respect for Billy Crogan?

His "lacking" at best post-MCIS work
His outstanding pretentiousness
That book of poetry he wrote (lawl)
Zwan
His solo work
The new smashing pumpkins

Tis a shame too, he really was great back in the day. I have a book that has tabs for every MCIS song, and in the beginning is an article written by Billy Corgan gor 'guitar world' or some magazine like that, where he gives guitar playing tips. It was really well done, he remarks on how you should only learn to the skill level that of the music that you want to make, in otherwords if you want to be in a punk band, dont waste your time memorizing Satriani riffs. He also comments on how the whole "good guitar player" thing is really subjective. "Some people think Zappa is a genius, others say he sucks. Some people say m good, others say I suck, it all depends,"

Then again he sort of compared hiself to Frank Zappa there, maybe he was always that full of himself.:p:
