Taking the fun out of music since time began.

Ever since man first picked up an instrument there's been someone around trying to profit from it.

I could go off on a long rant about this but what would be the point? You all know what a bunch of self serving , manipulative , greedy , tasteless bunch of fucks with no morals these people are , exploiting everything you love for the sake of getting a few more dollars out of your pocket.

Let's face it , I bet you've all got your own hatred just building up inside you just from reading the title of this entry along.

So just this time i'll open this up to the forum and let you express just what you hate about these parasites.And when you've posted a few i'll let you know what No 1 is ........

This is one thing about music that rarely bother's me. Music and art itself will always be used for commercial purposes. Many good things will be ignored as capitalism extends its' hand but this is EXACTLY why I love music. I choose the bands I want to hear and the mainstream can just fuck off.

I don't do this to emphasise a non mainstream approach. I choose this because my choices and reasons for championing a band are entirely correct and not encumbent on the populace.

Maroon 5-Are they even still together as a band? they haven't been relevant in 5 years(and even then it was questionable).

I'm assuming "Hedley" is in a long list of bands who no one gives a **** about, who sing the same songs, and do the same type albums each year?: Hinder/Shinedown/3 Doors Down/Stain'd/Linkin Park/etc? Mindless pop drivel.

I'll pass. Paramore has to be one of the worst bands in the last 15 years. Music for kids? yeah, they're important!

hedley is a perfect modern example of the failings of the canadian content laws governed by the CRTC (canadian radio telecommunications commission). basically every broadcaster who wants to keep a license in canada has to broadcast X amount of canadian content per hour or face fines / suspensions.

the frontman for hedley was canadian idol finalist a few years ago which pretty much guaranteed some airplay and a place in the market. like most idol finalists it should have been a one hit wonder, but they're obviously willing to play the game, and so long as they do broadcasters will keep playing their crap as an easy way to hitting their cancon targets.

Faber Drive aren't that bad, definitley better than Hedley or Simple Plan

The biggest crime in music in my opinion.

There's nothing worse than someone striving to be as average as possible , taking no risks , content with not standing out in the slightest and being as unmemorable as possible.

The saddest thing in the world is listening to a piece of music and then afterwards having no real opinion of it.

Artists that are neither good nor bad , they're just sort of there really.

With a good album I can praise it to high heaven , with a bad album I can slag it off to my hearts content. Mediocre albums just make me think i've wasted 45 minutes or so of my life.

Mediocrity irritates me possibly more than everything else on this list combined and will always be my biggest irritation in music for as long as I am a fan of it as much as I am.
