4 star ratings to icp.

Yeah, theres a few bands/albums they do that to, and its really annoying. The Cure, The Beach Boys' "Smile" album, they HATE Deerhunter-even insulting them in their reviews-even Flourescent Grey! That EP isn't even long winded or spaced out like cryptograms!

Wow... I am honestly shocked. I used to have some respect for their ratings. Well, I guess it's back to solely using RYM ratings as reference then.

Hipsters don't listen to Pink Floyd. They're too popular.

Yeah, what people can't control shouldn't be judged. Sexuality definitly shouldn't be something that needs to fall into a category.

...Everyone is a little bit gay anyways...

8. Morrissey's Solo Career (1987-)[/CENTER]

Take your pick which album sucks the most. Some suck more than others, some just barely reach the threshold of sucking, but they all just plain suck. Musical progeny of Morrissey simply goes in two directions: sucking and sucking hard.

So what’s this fourth-gender heartthrob done to offend me?

Everything. His attitude towards life, his lyrical “merit,” even his fucking hair: it all exudes an aura of extreme pretentiousness. All through the eighties, The Smiths did nothing but piss off the world at large. And then, come August of 1987, Morrissey felt that he was entitled to a solo career. Now, I don’t know how England feels about the Smiths, but I’ve never imagined them to be any more than a pop icon for a few years and fade away. But it was not so. Morrissey lingered, producing albums which sound as successively dated as the last. He’s produced some of the most boring, pretentious music that the industry has to offer, and it hasn’t changed in over two decades.

Morrissey is probably the only artist on this list that I genuinely loathe. There are so many reasons you can hate on Morrissey. He’s that guy who can’t get enough of himself, who can’t find a reason why he isn’t the greatest thing ever, who, despite all claims to the contrary, has never had a real relationship. I always imagine that Morrissey occupies the time in which he isn’t answering fan mail by staring at his reflection. And whenever some guitarist exhibits the slightest desire to share in the spotlight, to harbor some disparity in creativity, well, that just doesn’t sit well with Morrissey. He couldn’t write a tune to save himself, and it’s pretty obvious he couldn’t catch an imagination if it bit him on the ass.
Amen to that. I cannot stand this pretentious p-rick. Him and Robert Smith need to take a flying leap off the Cliff of Inevitable Irrelevance and quietly die.

'Deloused in the Comatorium' by The Mars Volta

Pitchfork Media - 4.9/10
Rolling Stones - 3/5
Allmusic - 4.5/5

I think it is pretty clear whose opinion I would rather have.

edit - if you goto wiki and type in the name of an album, it will often have a list on the right that gives a list of many of the professional reviews

pitchfork even hate on the mars volta? wow
