The Most Releases By One Artist Competition (albums, discography, tracks)

I definitely can't compete in these sorts of things. I was never able to get into bootlegs of live performances, which is the only way you can get up to outlandish numbers of "releases" for an album.

For artists I love, I pursue their studio albums and then any EPs/compilations/singles that contain songs I don't have from their studio releases.

Well, my David Bowie collection is the largest of one artist I have;

27 albums (including Tin Machine's 2 albums if they count?)
3 compilations
4 live albums (including Tin Machine's one)
13 bootlegs
2 DVDs

So 49 releases in total. Urban's beaten me by miles

edit - forgot about the Baal EP

:/ I can;t even try to compete. I have 11 for Afi and 14 from Billy Joel, but those are the only ones worth mentioning

i'm not gonna make a screencap of a bunch of folders but the zappa discography has about 150 releases / boots.

Perhaps they didn't own all the other stuff when they bought the compilations.
