All time Favourite Radiohead track?
 

Same criteria as the Pink Floyd thread.

I am hoping this has'nt been done before. I will make an official thread when all the nominations are in ONE MONTH from today. Choose your track and explain why you chose it. I will then compile a MB top ten poll and use the best appraisals for each song in the top ten. GO.

I am stuck between:

Lol, I knew this day would come eventually. Hard to pick just one...

1. There There (The Boney King Of Nowhere) - Probably my favorite just due to its sheer emotional power.
2. How To Disappear Completely
3. Weird Fishes/Arpeggi
4. Pyramid Song
5. Electioneering

Being fairly new with the band, I am gonna go with Paranoid Android. Still my favorite even though it's one of their well known songs.

This is going to be a very tough decision.

Life in a Glass House
Exit Music
Motion Picture Soundtrack

No idea how I'm going to narrow it down.

How To Disappear Completely is mine, though it's partly because it was a bench mark of sorts for me.

I find it hard to pick between the rest though....

Life in a Glass House. National Anthem and Exit Music are right behind it.

Paranoid Android and Exit Music are the first two that come to my mind.

I like exit music as well, when the song get's fast it's awesome.

Oh jeez, has anyone heard Black Star (Acoustic)? I think that's my favorite song.

The only Radiohead song that really caught my attention. OK Computer is such a drag.

My favorite Radiohead track is Paranoid Android. It has the first section, with Yorke singing as if he's really angry (which I love) for a lot of it, like in the line "You didn't remember, you didn't remember, why didn't you remember my name!?!". Then after a great guitar solo with plenty of fast picking and guitar effects, it goes to this beautiful choral work. The three-part harmonies that are so great to sing along with just take you away. And then, after "that loves his children, yeah...", it plays the short acuostic riff and explodes back into the guitar solo and ends with a big finish, just like My Iron Lung and Just, other songs that I love that didn't make the cut for top song.

2+2=5 for me, one of the best openers ever.

Ja, i like the guitar/crazy man panting.

I cannot say just one song, or even one cd. They're awesome.

And they're better if you listen to the cd on one play (I don't know if it's said this way, my English isn't very good :P)

Both good IMO but the horns are just hypnotic so I'd go studio version. Or better yet, this:

Yeh, they did a great version when I saw them in Golden Gate Park.

I want to change my answer to electioneering

So I did, in my previous post.

I must say I'm surprised at all of the love for electioneering.

I'm disappointed with the lack of love for I Will. Yeh it's short, so what?

Good, but I don't think it would make many top lists.

I feel the same about Planet Telex. =\

Planet Telex is my favorite off of the Bends :)

Electioneering has a great riff but it's hardly original and could be one of many bands around at that time.
