Ah, but who says the guilt exists because of other people's standards? It is possible for a musical pleasure to be guilty because it eludes your own standards... as in, you have an odd predilection for a band whose genre/scene you normally avoid at any cost.

Exactly. That's why the occasional hair metal song is a guilty pleasure for me.
