Nena is only known for one song - so you judge them on that "one" song?

MT has had a lot of (s)hits

Yer Bruce Springsteen does sound awful and I forgot to add him to my list, he`s certianly worthy of any top ten.

I don`t think Mark Knopfler is that bad, the real problem there, is the type of music that the
Dire (S)hits play!

Folk music from different places can sometimes sound remarkably similar, and in general I don't think it just follows political boundaries.

Some people are known for far too much music and some people for far too little. Not that I am qualified to talk about Nena's music, I'm just talking in general.

when Ian william plays the guitar in a band, it almost becomes a magical experience
when he sings in a band, he sounds like a failing art student who's done hard drugs most of his life.

even though Ian's a terrible vocalist, I still have mad love for S&S

Well, I got ripped for starting a different thread (when there's no easy way to find long-buried threads), but one of the links in my post there goes to this.

Running with the Devil (vocals only) - YouTube

The point being that, if you could hear unedited (or miminally edited) vocals only (or maybe with just coustic guitar, Mr. Dylan), it would be easy to tell whether someone is a bad singer or not.

regarding the other thread, disagree about Jim Morrison as well

he may not have a good range, but like Jagger, it suits the music
