I liked Dark Side Of The Moon since I'd first heard it, but one day when I was in the car listening to it really closely and staring out the window... I just realized how incredible it really is.

I thought The Mountain Goats-Heretic Pride was pretty awful on first listen but I'm really digging it right now.

It happened yesterday with me actually. I started listening to Crystal Kay's most recent album Colour Change and was amazed by it..... I had no clue why I didn't like it much before

your not an idiot. i personally think the smiths are way overratted. i dont discredit them for their influence and what they did for the genre, but seriously its some of the least interesting music ive ever listened to.

Jangle pop was never really interesting to begin with, but the Smiths attained levels of unimaginable blandness.

there are three albums that come to mind.
Jets to brazil "Orange Rhyming Dictionary"

Wilco "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot"

Hot Water Music "A Flight and a Crash"

at first they didnt click but i knew it was great music. these albums just get better and better
