I literally laughed out loud at how lil wayne was on the *** bands list twice. I was kind of creeped out at his "make sure the burning cds are etched into your childs mind" think though

the only good musician that guy said wasn't gay was sufjan stevens, and he amkes sure to say it was "at request of publisher"

and the *** band list it says any band that has worked with these bands, well isn't that pretty much every band in the world when you finally think about it, music has so many connections that anyone could have a connection to thom yorke or lady gaga or some random folk punk guy living in his mom's basement and not even know it

An old friend of mine was really religious. He wanted to start a christian rock band as soon as he found out I played bass (he played guitar). He would show me video's of his favorite christian rock bands such as DecembeRadio and Third Day. Needless to say I was a bit turned off. It didn't help either when he discovered I was an atheist.

most musicians are probably either atheistic or agnostic, because people who are truly into organized religion will lyrically be influenced by their religion, but if that person isn't than they're probably just not that religious, most people i know who call themselves Christians are more in it for the image.

By "lyrically influenced", you mean like... They won't swear, and generally won't put out quite as many depressing songs? Then yes.

I have no problems with a music artist's beliefs, but if they are specifically trying to make "Christian music" then it generally seems to be just either propaganda put to a tune or a marketing ploy to sell to those who care far too much about having religious lyrical content. It seems that for the vast majority of Christian musicians the "Christian" part is far more important to them than the music and you therefore get a rather bad result. In my experience, anyway.

agreed. I dislike music being a recruitment ad.

also, an awful lot of christian music is country so I usually stay away from stuff like that.
