The fact that itunes only lets you authorize like 5 computers per screen name pisses the mother****ing **** out of me.

I go through about two computers a year, so I quickly go through all the authorizations that I can use, and then i'm stuck with music I can't access anymore because Itunes is such a little bitch.

I hate itunes with a passion, I really do.

I ****ing hate Itunes... I wish the programmers for apple would actually do their job correctly. I, a peacful individual sometimes feel like selling my guitar, buying a 9m beretta and going postal in apple incorporated.

My major beef with I-Tunes aside from wmv files, is the album artwork. I-Tunes obviously relies on individual users to point them in the right direction for what album cover matches what album, but for example, a best off for The Seeds does not equal the Nuggets compilation. Likewise Scott Walter, is not Scott Walker.

So you spend the time to amend all this, get your library sorted, then a few weeks later you innocently update I-Tunes to a newer version and BOOOM! Its all f**king gone and your back with Scott Walter's cheery face.

ARRRRRGH!

I use the Linux alternative to iTunes, Amarok, which has a Last.fm scrobbler built in, and is a lot easier to edit your tags on. It's far safer to use than iTunes.

If I understand correctly, it seems you can't just make the switch to another player without losing your playlists and ID tags either .. Well, possibly MediaMonkey because it has some good import features. Maybe that can import info from iTunes.

I don't let itunes anywhere near my main collection.

I just dump a few albums on it I feel like listening to and to hell with the tags , as long as I can find the album on my ipod that's all I care about.

I've never had any troubles with iTunes and I back up all my **** to DVDs. I did lose all of my music once, but that was because my entire computer went to **** and I had to rewrite.
