This saxophonist is pretty crazy on this track. This album is basically Albert Ayler on bath salts.

A compilation of live performances of soul, funk, pop, & rock from the 'Midnight Special' TV show from the 70's. Other than the inclusion of Neil Sedaka, it's worth watching all the way through. Tina Turner delivers an absolutely stunning performance in the opening clip!

Tina Turner; Barry White; Sly Stone; O'jays; Marvin Gaye; James Brown; Gladys Knight; Aerosmith - YouTube

I go back and forth on finding this song either hilarious or depressing. Sometimes both.

Definitely borders on that. "The doctors declared you normal, YOU'RE NORMAL LARRY!"

I'm excited to hear Ray LaMontagne's new album, Supernova, next week.
