Jimmy Webb - Letters

This song, Campo de Encino, is an unusual one for Webb, being upbeat and with a slight Latin flavour. It was written by Jimmy in response to his friend Harry Nilsson taunting him that he could not write music with a sense of humour - an odd accusation to level at someone who could write a song with lyrics like those of Macarthur Park. There is also a version around of this song performed by Nilsson.

The album also contains a song ("Song Seller") with a rare example of Jimmy Webb using the F-word.

What a great piece! It really tells a story.

After reading Plankton's last post in the concert thread, I felt the need for Maiden. OMG this band is still the ****ing truth. One of the best of all time, and they still have at least some of the magic that they've had for a large part of their career. This and "Killers" have legitimately brought me to manly tears due to the sheer perfection of the metal on display. I'm not even joking.

David Bowie's 'Heathen' album (2002). One of his best later period releases.
