Based on that album, I'd definitely point you towards the more atmospheric realm of the genre, maybe even depressive black metal. In terms of the stuff on that list, I'd recommend trying these two albums in particular.

You should have seen it when Trollheart was here. He had more journals himself than we have now in total.

Around 2012-2013 was probably the golden age of journals. Most everybody had at least one, and more than a handful actually updated regularly, if only to get a spot on Trollheart's weekly journal update.
