I used to think No Remorse wouldn't kill me since I'm lily white as ****, but since I'm a "dirty white slag walking round town with a jigaboo" I guess I'm screwed.

There's a few tunes on "Installation" that are great (like Alter Ego), but it just doesn't hold up organically like "Phantasia". The use of ambient techno mixed with their usual mathrock foundation just falls short and sounds almost sterile at times. I was diggin the bit of funk on Fog On though. Killer groove on that. Not a bad album at all, I think I'm just too used to the Phant.

So you're Rodney Dangerfield on the disc golf course? There needs to be more people blasting tunes on the course. It's not real golf and **** all that etiquette nonsense.

As much fun as the title and lyrics to this song are, this is legit possibly my fav song I've discovered this year. I find myself singing it inside my head all the time and busting it out constantly even when I have no desire to listen to this kind of music. It's just perfectly fun and anthemic. Early No Remorse had a bit of a knack for making odd little pop songs like this that didn't just sound like generic yob punk.

We fly the Swastika!
We fly it strong and true!
We ain't never gonna take it down
For the communists or Jews!

That's an excellent album but you need to get on some Soft Machine, Robert Wyatt, and Kevin Ayers if you're gonna go around talking about Canterbury scene like that. And Gong and Egg to a much, much lesser extent.

As far as I know it's the only Canterbury scene album on my computer, and I was only assuming it was one cause it said "Canterbury scene" as the genre. I guess I'll probably get around to those artists... eventually. Obviously I'd get around to Soft Machine at some point anyway. Is there any particular reason to care about the Canterbury scene if one is lukewarm to prog in general? I have no idea why it's such a famous scene tbh.

As a whole it is an underwhelming genre, but the key artists I listed make it all worth it.

I'm trying to remember if I've listened to Soft Machine, but I feel like I might have and not cared, but can u give me one album to check out in your personal opinion and not goofy prog consensus opinion?
