I'm not really disagreeing, but this just made me wonder what my niche is and how broad/narrow tastes I have.

There's starting to be quite a lot of singer/songwriter, electronic pop and varying shades of indie-electronic/indie-pop on my shelves. Plus folk music, and various criss-crossing between all these fields of music.

I feel like there's a fair amount of other stuff going on in my CD collection, but there's some big "holes" too. I don't own any hip hop. Basically no purely ambient records either. No prog rock except for technically one album that I don't even like that much. No jazz, except a bit of pleb-jazz. And between all of those metal albums, there's not even a single black metal album to be found.

But I'm in no rush to branch out. I check out new things across most genres quite often. Now and then, some things stick.
