My Halloween playlist for this year that I made. If you have Spotify, check it out. Involves dixieland jazz, experimental death metal, classic doom, a track from A Nightmare Before Christmas, and more. It's a little under an hour long. Enjoy.

Noted. I'm also intrigued by Stubb's comparative study of twentieth-century avant-garde music and art - Fear of Music: Why People Get Rothko but Don't Get Stockhausen. Have you read that as well? I might just order the whole lot.

I also have a very crude PDF scan of Krautrocksampler, but it's a bit of a bear to read. Sadly physical copies are usually several hundred dollars. I paid that much for THE MANUAL, but that was an exception.

Just arrived - Air's 1997 debut EP, Premiers Symptômes.

This is one of my all-time favorite downtempo / ambient / future jazz releases, and I'm proud to finally add it to my collection.

This 2015 Parlophone reissue is a 180g pressing and features a die-cut version of the original packaging and a digital download. In my opinion, this EP is more seamless and consistent than their seminal first full-length release, Moon Safari. It's rich with the warm tonalities of all my favorite instruments - the Fender Rhodes, Minimoog, Wurlitzer organ, sitar, and Clavinet which defined Air's gorgeously retro signature sound.

Pure love.
