The first time I saw him was outdoors in Atlanta when I was in high school. I was standing like 5 ft from a 40 ft wall of Marshall stacks and he went off on some solo that completely crushed my teenage skull.

As for this record in particular you’re so right that it’s so good but as far as recognition even long long terms fans are still going to go with Live Rust 9 times out of 10. His discography is really big and it boils down to unless you’re Ros you can only listen to one record at a time. I’m not even saying that Live Rust offers the same experience. They’re different.

Imo, Le Noise is his most unfairly overlooked record. It’s an unassailable work of pure genius.
