Hymnen by Karlheinz Stockhausen

It won’t be long before the Stockhausen police take this off youtube.

This has been one of my favorites for decades. Especially side 3 on the vinyl.

Nine Decades Vol. 4: A Night at St. John the Divine Ravi Shankar

"Afternoon Raga" says Shankar and begins this three instrumental song set that I forgot I picked up ages ago and just happened to fall out of my collection of discs as I was searching for something else. Apparently, it's one of the best in the series. A mystery how it got in my hands.

Ravi Shankar Composer, Primary Artist, Sitar
Shambhu Das Tanpura
Vasant Rai Tanpura
Alla Rakha Tabla

Haven't heard Jimi in a while. I'm still impressed as I was the first time I heard it.

RIP Billy Joe Shaver. Last week we lost Jerry Jeff Walker and now we lose Billy Joe Shaver. Is Ray Wylie Hubbard or Robert Earl Keen next? The three-named Americana songwriters are becoming extinct all of a sudden.
