The Smiths rule and this song is GOAT.

I was just singing this exact song when I looked at this thread and saw that. The Smiths are amazing. My personal favorite is I Know It's Over.

I love the feeling of having no emotional anchor and desperately searching for a feeling of belonging while being sardonically suicidal.

I think that's what people generally describe being a teenager feels like...

I'm too green to have a top 5 but Morrrissey's performance on your top 1 is truly perfect. He embodies the opener of an album. If there's one thing to turn me off The Smiths it's Morrissey's singing but God damn there's nothing like Morrissey in all of music and once I'm over the hump of appreciating his pretentiousnous there's no replacement for his expressiveness.

I mean bitch I've heard people talk **** about "Frankly Mr Shankly" and it's just the most smooth fun and quintessentially British song ever and I love it.

'The Headmaster Ritual' from Meat Is Murder is the only Smiths song I truly love, but TQID is a charming album thru'n'thru.

A truly great song that would probably be on my top 5.

Hatful of Hollow and Louder than Bombs have tons of gems. You don't love nothing on there? No love for Rubber Ring?
