Zach Galifinakis slays on the drums.

I discovered punk in my absence! And I'm really excited about it.

I've hardly listened to much Bad Religion, but I was just cracking out on that album for the first time a few days ago. Bitchin' album.

Yes! I've never given punk much of a go until now. Working my way through the Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, and the Circle Jerks. I'll for sure be visiting the punk thread.

Who's "hon", and why are we welcoming them back without commas?

Love me some PBW, and this is a pretty nice mix.

Includes the source of a vocal cut in Bound 2, which I had previously not looked up:

Stromae—"Papaoutai"
I think this is my favorite video at the moment as well as one of my favorite songs. Beautiful visual style, amazing dancing, and when you understand what it's about—the singer growing up fatherless because his father was killed in the Rwandan genocide—it's absolutely heartbreaking.

Piano and Violin

This is what I am listening to on my mp3 player. I think it sounds good. I love the violin and also enjoy the piano version of Metallica songs. :wavey:

One of his best albums, imo.

Cannot be found on youtube (kill yerself) but "Someday" by Vashti Bunyan and now I wanna die, it's so god damn beautiful and simple though like profoundly so.

Goofle 09-22-2014 01:46 AM

^ Indeed. Maybe sound cloud?

Surell 09-22-2014 01:58 AM

No luck :( you can find the full album it's on (Some Things Just Stick in Your Mind) on Youtube though so we can really teach em.

Have A Nice Life - The Unnatural World

Post-Punk/Post-Rock are starting to become my new favorite genre of music. Something about the sound that puts me in this strange trance I can't seem to snap out of. I NEVER WANT TO SNAP OUT OF IT.

Very good, more atmospheric than usual, rifftastic doom. Definitely in my top 5, if not top 3, of my 2014 best of list.

Surell 09-22-2014 11:21 PM

I will def check then, I love really atmospheric metal, Sunn O))) clearly bring rad and I think Dopesmoker was a little more atmospheric than most sludge/doom/stoner releases. Very cool though, thanks for the rec!
