Music's weird. I've been obsessed with Manowar and the cheesiest metal for days and weeks now, but today I woke up in a strange, detached mood and the thought of listening to metal fills me with nothing but apathy. Now, all I wanna do is listen to my new copy of Daydream Nation.

SashQ 03-09-2013 08:43 AM

I'm currently listening to Lianne La Havas. I've heard about her a while back and now I've finally took some time to listen to her and I like what I've heard so far. Tease me is my fav. so far. Sorry I can't post any links :)

The Batlord 03-09-2013 10:02 AM

I need to check out a lot of their stuff still, but Confusion Is Sex is probably my fav Sonic Youth album right now. Just so dark and alien sounding.

Manowar. roflcopter.

I love Hammerfall. And I don't care what anyone says, Manowar are the shit. They may be cheesier than a grilled cheese sandwich with bread made out of cheese, but they are more fun than throwing rocks at orphans. Besides, cheesy joke band or not, no band ever sounded so epic before they released Into Glory Ride and Hail to England. Those are legitimately creative and original albums.

First time giving these guys a listen. Pretty interesting song.

Justthefacts 03-10-2013 02:21 PM

I must need to see Arcade Fire in concert. My life will mean absolutely nothing until I see them

Scarlett O'Hara 03-11-2013 02:48 AM

This has incredibly beautiful vocals. Well, imo.

Goofle 03-11-2013 07:10 AM

Still loving this album.

The Batlord 03-11-2013 08:45 AM

I've never known quite how I feel about Teenage Jesus and the Jerks. On the one hand, I definitely don't love them, but I there is something there. Perhaps I'm just not in a black enough depression ATM.

Hanging on - Ellie Goulding

Justthefacts 03-11-2013 08:37 PM

Been on a National kick these last few days

The Batlord 03-12-2013 10:10 AM

I guess this is kinda fun to listen to in a novelty way, but I don't even know how to listen to it in the first place. Still, I am entertained to some degree.

Psychedub Dude 03-12-2013 11:47 AM

Outlaw Star was such a good show, so many feels from this tune ;__;

Zer0 03-12-2013 04:41 PM

This is one of the greatest dance tunes ever made. If heaven actually existed I'd imagine it would sound like this.

Goofle 03-12-2013 05:46 PM

Loving this album right now.

Screen13 03-12-2013 07:14 PM

Watching Teenage Gang Debs with this great theme song!

...and this second classic. Do the Black Belt!

Hitch 03-12-2013 08:43 PM

Makes me wanna get drunk and dance in some remote part of central Europe with the locals whilst trying to imitate their language :D

Paul Smeenus 03-12-2013 10:28 PM

Bruce Thomas is just ripping it up at about 1:58

Sansa Stark 03-13-2013 08:25 AM

Ugh this whole album is perfection

The Batlord 03-13-2013 09:32 AM

God I ****ing love no wave. Mars could be downright catchy when they wanted to be.

Sansa Stark 03-13-2013 09:48 AM

Too bad they only have two good songs

**** that. I'm just listening to 78+ for the first time and I'm in love.

Here's another kick ass song right here.

And bam, that's three. Up yo ass with a ten foot pole. :finger:

Edit: Now DNA? They're terrible.

Adelle49920 03-13-2013 10:06 AM

Dirt Nasty and 2 Live Crew

Dirt Nasty, Dyslexic Speedreaders, Chain Swangaz, Riff Raff, Andre Legacy, Mickey Avalon, Chevelle, Clutch, and lots more...

It won't let me post the video, but this is the one for Futuristic Luv Patrol from Dirt Nasty and 2 Live Crew...cut down version...full version is great!

Sansa Stark 03-13-2013 03:52 PM

Listening to the songs of winter just when it starts to feel like spring
not the best idea

I love this song though, even though it's technically not a New Order song~

Mojo 03-13-2013 05:34 PM

Iron Maiden - Killers

RIP Clive Burr

Paul Smeenus 03-13-2013 05:54 PM

^^^ Paul DiAnno's best album IMO

Mojo 03-13-2013 05:56 PM

Mine was always Iron Maiden, but I dunno really. I do often lean more towards Killers now.

Bought it used quite a long time back. I play it every once in a while.

Alice in Chains 03-13-2013 08:23 PM

Blue October's "The End". One of my favorite songs from them. An extremely underrated track with magnificent lyrics.

The Batlord 03-14-2013 09:54 AM

Fun, but definitely just a stepping stone to better things (i.e. Pere Ubu). I have to assume that these guys are considered influential just because Cleveland in the 1970's must have been a musical wasteland.

I imagine the post-punk nerds will point and laugh at me, but I've never really listened to Devo before. I am entertained. Might even be better than the original.
