It's new release Friday and a cover of "Passionate Kisses" by Sorry Darling was on my radar. It's a nice version that is just enough different from previous versions to make it fresh.

That teaser was good enough to get me to searching around for more from Sorry Darling and I found something from earlier this year. This video is semi-gold with lots of sit-com visuals that I recognize and some that I know I should.

OK, Sunday morning is for oldies and I'm a sucker for '70's pop. "My Belle Amie" by Tee-Set reached #5 in March of 1970 but that's not the best part about this song. The best part is how vocalist Peter Tetteroo's mop inspired the exact same hair style sported by Laverne DeFazio in the sit com, 'Laverne and Shirley.

Frank Turner can be challenging but he also has the ability to knock it out of the park. This from last April.

A new release by Sulo, the former frontman for Swedish rock band Diamond Dogs. All old recordings repackaged as far as I can tell but it's a great sounding album.

It's a really good track to get ready for the weekend.

Anybody else got a track to start the weekend?

It's Sunday so it's oldies...

Today is a cover version of a song that was originally a hit for BJ Thomas in 1968. The 1973 version by Blue Swede is superior (IMHO) and received exposure to a new generation by being featured in 2014's "Guardians Of The Galaxy".

...ooga chaka...

My son is a huge MGK fan and I got a kick out of this collaboration with Jelly Roll.

Who needs coffee when you have music like this? 2024 has been a great year for music.

Music In Motion by Hollow Ship

There has been recent activity talking about prog and jazz. This latest by Hollow Ship is from 2024 and dovetails nicely into those discussions.

Here is a similar sounding track from 2021 which is my favorite by them, Magic Mountain.
