Angel in the Detail is a masterful unassailable work of genius. I appreciate your persistence in your praise for it. They’ve been on my radar since the 80’s but this -and I definitely admit I paid closer attention because of you - makes me want to go through their discography which is 45 ****ing records.

How did you know this one is so special?

Maybe it should be irrelevant like bat says but putting yourself in the time and place is very important to me. I’m not saying it doesn’t stand up to the test of time it does but it also makes my balls tingle to think how influential it was.

The whole SST phenomenon meant (and means) so much to me.

How is it possible for the most 80s thing ever to be so timeless? I do not understand.

80's synth pop is so timeless that it's still coming out even now. :)

Black Francis 10-13-2019 06:13 PM

I figured it was going to be good because they worked on it for a long time by Dots usual schedule and planned to release right alongside their 40th anniversary

and yeah it's still my AOTY

Church.

Anteater 10-13-2019 07:00 PM

I just like 'em because they're unique but also have a lot of the space rock elements I enjoy from Hawkwind and the Ozrics (among others).

Mondo Bungle 10-13-2019 07:25 PM

Such a great late 90's vibe.

The Batlord 10-14-2019 05:48 PM

I've scoffed for years but I think I might be finally ready to pucker my lips for that Morrissey dick. This is just gorgeous.

The Batlord 10-14-2019 05:53 PM

Gay 80s music is the new country.

The Batlord 10-14-2019 06:11 PM

That wasn't my point.

De Massive Dualistic- Superman(House music )

South African Song, it's about a young man who has been deeply hurt by his ex girlfriend. After being dumped he felt like it's the end and nothing will ever workout for him since he has been receiving mocking comments. Now he has recovered and he feels like superman🙂. Search for it on YouTube.

The Rolling Stones had plenty of amazing songs but they were never as amazingly bomb as they were on their debut. They were a perfect rock n roll band on that album.

That’s simultaneously the coolest and even understandable opinion and perhaps the most indefensible flat out wrong opinion ever voiced since the advent of human and perhaps even extraterrestrial language.

Im listening to my Woodstock 69 cassettes :) (Tape 1 of 2 side 2)

Current song: Sea of madness - Crosy stills and Nash

I am so glad I found the first 1970 AMPEX release,it sounds goregous.... At first I had a 1975 re-issue and it sounded like crap.... THINNED OUT GARBAGE!!!!!

It didnt have dolby either but it sounded horrible...... Its really sad what started happening in the 70s!

Yes that is the understandable opinion.

The Batlord 10-17-2019 12:02 AM

Listening to Mick Jagger sing country is like watching Jim Carey do Shakespeare as the Mask.
