as usual, i am incredibly late to everything, and have only just decided to look further into hip hop. since i had no idea where to start i took advice from the bbc radio one DJ nick grimshaw's dr. dre t-shirt and downloaded the chronic. so far, i very much enjoy it.

however back in my comfort zone of alternative hipster rock, i got the new of monsters and men album and i very much enjoyed that and wow, did you know they're from iceland? i've always had a thing for the cold regions, idk.

First time I've been listening to hip hop in forever, and this is the first thing I tried. Listening to this song for the second time, cause it's just so awesome.

The only album by them I've listened to is their third one, Over the Under. I bought it after seeing it get some ridiculously good reviews in a couple mags, and it was one of the most boring things I've listened to in recent years. A few good riffs, but no really good songs. So yeah, **** metal mags. Glorified press releases.

I love Machine Head so, so much. I bought it on a whim when I was in high school, and I liked it, but didn't really get it. It was just some album I'd throw on if I wanted to hear "Smoke on the Water" or "Highway Star". Nowadays, it's just one of my favorite albums. Not a single bad, or even just okay song on the album, just pure goodness.

So many great songs on that one. "Lazy" what an awesome jam...funny lyrics too, "Lazy...Just Stay In Bed, You Don't Want No Money, You Don't Want No Bread"

This is the first time I have ever heard them so I thought I would start at the beginning. It's a man with no name album I.E the good, the bad and the ugly. Love the raw production and there are some really great riffs, it is however a little Sabbath like and I can hear a little Grunge on it here and there which many will probably be scratching their heads at but listening to an album 17 years on from it's release for the first time at least gives a fresh opinion. I will give their other albums a listen though as there is enough to keep me interested.

This is by far their best one. "Pillars of Eternity", it's a stoner headbanging classic.

Great noise-core. I really like the repetitiveness.

Stop spamming and play a damn song from 20 years ago. You don't have to post a million times, especially if you're saying the same thing over and over.

I may as well post what I'm listening to. Weird thrash from the 90's. Emphasis on weird, less so on thrash.

It's hard to pick a favorite, but Lazy is up there. I love how the jam lasts for exactly four minutes and twenty seconds before the vocals kick in.

^^^ I got into them a few months ago, and just fell in love. There's not much around that's that nihilistic. Perfect for wallowing in self loathing and misanthropy.

loving the rusko track, and bassnectar is always sick.

I was just listening to the easybeats,
I bought their single collection(including A's & B's)

most of the people remember them because of the song "friday on my mind"
it's a huge song I don't doubt it but seriously
they have so many great songs!

listen to them
