Yes they are mainly influenced by tool. Imo they are quite different though, really like everything they have put out definitely check it out. Not exactly party music but clearly that doesnt matter if you like Karnivool and Tool so much.

Id say start with anything but the first album Point #1.

You didn't drink enough water that's why.

I just listened to a couple of albums yesterday, and I dunno, I'm not feeling them as much as I do Karnivool, Tool, or Tesseract say. Don't get me wrong, I do really like them, but they're a little mainstreamy and predictable. However the only albums I've listened to so far are This Type of Thinking (Could Do Us In) and Wonder What's Next. Any suggestions of another album, Rez?

eh if you didnt like those don't bother they are not for you. I dont think they do anything that original but do a good job regardless.

No I really liked them! I did enjoy both of those albums. I agree with your completely - they don't do anything that original but they do a good job and I do enjoy them. It just wasn't like a "wow" moment. They sound a lot like the plethora of rock music that is coming out of Aus at the moment, which I guess is why. I find them really simple and catchy, but I never said simplicity was a bad thing!
