Bands you missed seeing live
What bands do you regret not seeing live, bands you had the chance to see not bands you would never have been able to see i.e The Beatles or The Doors Etc
Mine are: Dire Straits (unashamidly one of my favourite all time bands) Rage against the machine....yes i know they reformed and toured but i was working abroard :-( |
I was gonna see the Avett Brothers but I have to go on a Midrasha retreat instead.

Two big ones for me:
Swans—I really wanted to go but I was really strapped for cash at the time and couldn't afford it. Unfortunately it turned out to be their last tour and they broke up shortly afterwards. Godflesh—I had plans to see them on one of their rare North American tours but unfortunately Justin Broadrick had some kind of breakdown right before they were supposed to leave England and broke up the band. |
I had a chance on September 20, 2007 to see the Dave Matthews Band, didn't get to go, went to see Devo the next night, Sept. 21, I wish I could've seen the Dave Matthews Band, but I have no regrets about seeing Devo, they were amazing.

Nine Inch Nails with Queens of the Stone Age. I also missed a P Funk show once, but I caught them before anyway. I'm hoping they'll come back a third time around.
|
Reel big Fish came to Nash not to long ago, but I couldn't get in because the venue was 18+
Also I had the chance to see Muse live once, but I didn't even know who they were at the time so I didn't go. |
I could have seen Nick Cave, David Bowie, New Order and Elvis Costello live over the years, missing out on all of them for varying reasons. Given that they're four of my favourites, and three of them probably won't play live in the UK again, those were pretty glaring misses there. Oh well.
