I mean The Beatles cared SO much about making money that they stopped touring, which is how most artists rake in the dough, so they could make records that were a complete departure from the work that made them popular in the first place and couldn't be emulated through live performance.

Of course they only cared about the money.

It's not a bandwagon thing for me. I've said it before on this forum, their music just bores me to death.
Another thing is that I worked in an a British pub (an American British pub) that played them 24/7. The outcome of my stay of employment there is that I ended up hating The Beatles and started liking Soccer (football, sorry).
The Beatles are like having annoying rich uncle that payed your way through college. Sure you wouldn't be where you are today without him, but you still cringe when he shows up at the family reunion and everyone starts kissing his ass.
