Not trying to be an ass because I have a tremendous amount of respect for you, but what you're saying is: "I don't like his voice/delivery." Because that's what I'm getting out of it.

I dont like The Beach Boys. I can appreciate Pet Sounds is probably a fairly solid pop record but it certainly isnt for me.

I'm not a massive Floyd fan, I can pick a few holes in their discography even though I enjoy some of it but I just dont think I've ever seen you post anything negative about them until now.

I have listened to Archive and wasnt that bothered but I didnt really take any of it in so I would need to give them a fair go.

Mark Hollis didnt make an album for over 10 years because he had a drug problem. He didn't pretend.

AKA: No answer. To think that Sigur Ros are of the Hot Topic crowd is ridiculous and wrong. A prog fan such as yourself should appreciate a band that for 10 years didn't settle for the norm. If you want to attack 'Med Sud...' though, then go right ahead. It's pretty average.

Exactly. if it was all solved within a few bars then we would all feck off to a happier life. I am not saying my choices are right. I just want to say that there is alternatives.

I'm not saying they are wrong, just that they are interesting.

So you're questioning the perceived emotion of ITAOTS?

I don't think anything of the sort, and I do appreciate Sigur Ros as someone who appreciates anyone who tries to do something interesting. But its not my fault that people of the Hot Topic crowd have been latching onto them since Vanilla Sky came out in theaters.

Serious, it's not like you step in there and there are Sigur Ros coffee mugs available for purchase or anything, so that's why I think the whole thing is weird. = /

Maybe I'm completely missing something but you do realize that the Hot Topic crowd is the bunch that listens to Mindless Self Indulgence and Panic at the Awful.

@jackhammer - What Archive album would you recommend?

Yes I do actually. Perhaps the Hot Topic people I've met who listen to Sigur Ros a lot are just anomalies then?

And...yeah, Archive are awesome.
